Chalet Mariarosaria

Chalet Mariarosaria has its roots in a family story made of passion, work, and love for simple and authentic things. It all began in 1968, when our grandparents, Antonietta Cinque and Vincenzo Criscuolo, opened the Chalet Antonietta in Castellammare di Stabia. At the time, it was one of the classic chalet acquafrescai, where fresh water, lupins, cookies, lemonade, and small treats that smelled of summer were sold.

Managed with dedication by our grandparents and their seven children, the chalet quickly became a landmark for those seeking refreshment along the Stabia seafront. Over time, the food offering evolved, always keeping the tradition alive: in addition to water and lemonade, typical local dishes were added, such as impepata di cozze (peppered mussels), caponata, and many seafood pasta dishes, simple recipes full of flavor, just like our story.

In 2011, with the demolition of the sixteen historic chalets, we went through a difficult time, but we didn’t stop: this is how the Ristobar Mariarosaria was born, a new beginning in the name of continuity. And in 2013, the chalet was reborn with a new look, but with the same spirit as always, officially becoming the Chalet Mariarosaria.

Today, it is lovingly and determinedly run by the sisters Giuseppina and Angela, daughters of that family tradition that continues to live on through their daily work, carried out in synergy with their children. Through sacrifices, passion, and great dedication, Chalet Mariarosaria is now a place where you feel at home, where every dish tells a story, and every smile tastes like a family that has never stopped believing in its dreams.
